2023 Sika Show Undrawn Tusk Competition

The 2023 Sika Show, hosted at Mystery Creek, Hamilton, was the backdrop for the NZPHA  undrawn tusk measurement competition. A total of 130 entrants tried to guess the measurement of the jaw pictured below, The measurement needed was 19 6/8ths. Despite this challenge, only three entries were correct, earning the prestigious prizes sponsored by Garmin.

The competition received invaluable support from Garmin, a prominent name in the hunting and outdoor industry. Garmin's sponsorship heightened the prestige of the event, making the competition and its prizes all the more coveted.

NZPHA Vice President Steve McFall presented the major prize of an ALPHA TT25 unit to Joel Hannah of the Dinsdale PHC in Hamilton.

Adding an element of suspense to the competition, the organizers decided to redraw for the ALPHA T20 unit. Two correct entries had been recorded but the contestants were not present. The redrawing process was conducted under independent supervision to ensure transparency and fairness in selecting the winners. Jade Newport from Auckland will be receiving his prize by courier.
